Bring clean water to a village that has waited decades.

This project funds the construction of community wells providing safe drinking water to over 500 families in remote West Sumba. Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet many communities in eastern Indonesia still rely on contaminated sources. Together with local partners and the Rotary Club of Bali Canggu, we are building sustainable well systems that will serve these communities for generations.
Beyond the wells themselves, the project includes community training on water hygiene practices, maintenance of the pump systems, and the formation of a local water committee to ensure long-term sustainability.
The first of three planned wells is now operational. The village held a small ceremony and the first families are already using the clean water source.

The drilling team arrived and work has begun on the first well location. Initial surveys confirmed a strong water table at 15 meters depth.
All construction materials including pipes, cement, and pump equipment have been transported to the village site.
The project kicked off with a community meeting attended by 120 villagers. Site locations were confirmed and the construction timeline was shared.
